'Your Gateway to the Greatest Old Time Radio Shows of Yesteryear'

Here is the basic steps to set up FileZilla. It is only a guide not a manual. Here I show you the steps to successfully set it up and to download, there are many, many features not listed, you will have to familiarize yourself with the program to find other features that I have not shows here.

NOTE: The instructions assume you have a paid account. If you have only a free account, you will need to be in the freebie account to download.

This version is FileZilla 2.2.16 I will update a newer version when I know there is one available If you know there is a newer version available and I have not listed it here please notify me so i can make it available.

Note: The IP ADDRESS OR HOST listed below has changed. Do not use it, if you need the IP ADDRESS OR HOST for your account, please contact me directly. THIS ONE WILL NOT WORK

STEP ONE:  Locate the file on your system. Open the file up by clicking once or twice depending on how your mouse is set up.

STEP TWO: Select your language and click OK

Step Three:  Click I agree, not like you got a Choice!

STEP FOUR:  Unless you want to add French documents to your computer just leave it alone and click NEXT

STEP FIVE: Leave as is and click NEXT

STEP SIX: Leave as is and click next.

STEP SEVEN: AGAIN Leave as is and click next

STEP EIGHT: When you see Completed in the white box, close should be lit up, click it, this will finish the install.

STEP NINE: On your desk top you should not see the FileZilla ICON, click on it to start the ftp program

STEP TEN: When FileZilla Starts up it will look like this

STEP ELEVEN: Click on file, Click on Site Manage

STEP TWELVE: When you see this screen click on the NEW SITE button at the bottom of the box

STEP THIRTEEN: You will now notice a new FTP site box that is highlighted an is ready for text

STEP FOURTEEN: Once you have typed in the FTP site's name, Fill in the HOST with the HOST or IP address-PORT is 21-Servertype is FTP. Then change the logontype from Anonymous to NORMAL by clicking on NORMAL. NOW YOU WILL NOTICE THE USER AND PASSWORD box went from grayed out to white. You can now type in your user id (log on) and password. There were supplied to you by me. You can not make up your own. This will become you default account should decide to add other ftp sites to the program

Before your first log on you must go back to the task bar and click on edit, then on settings

that will open up this box, go to firewall settings and UNCHECK PASSIVE MODE

CONTINUE TO NEXT STEP ONCE THIS IS DONE

STEP FIFTEEN: Once you have set your your account info, you can now click on the CONNECT BUTTON at the bottom of the screen. Remember to UNBLOCK any firewall for this program and port 21 or you will not be able to successfully connect to my site

Note: The IP ADDRESS OR HOST listed below has changed. Do not use it, if you need the IP ADDRESS OR HOST for your account, please contact me directly. THIS ONE WILL NOT WORK

STEP SIXTEEN: This is what your screen will look once you have successfully connected. If you are having problems at this point you will need to contact me for assistance. (Free account users will be in the FREEBIE directory and will not look like this

STEP SEVENTEEN: Once you have logged on you will need to select a Destination Folder. I have set up a file on my system called Old Time Radio Shows, where I put all my shows. I suggest you do the same with a similarly named file. Local side is YOUR SYSTEM. REMOTE SIDE is my system. In remote highlight your OTR file, below you will see the directory, in this case my is empty, but if there was any shows in that directory they would show up there. On the Right hand side (remote) click on the shows you wish to view to download

STEP EIGHTEEN: Here I have gone into the A shows and then into Amos and Andy, and I have Highlighted a file I wanted. I have right clicked on the file and selected Add to Queue. This will put the selected file in queue at the bottom of the screen

STEP NINETEEN: Here the file selected has been added to the que, see bottom

STEP TWENTY: When you are done adding shows to your Queue, select Queue from the tool bar and click on Process Queue. This will start your downloading.

STEP TWENTY-ONE: Here downloading has started and is about 80% done

STEP TWENTY-TWO: Now you will see the new file under the local side inside the Old Time Radio file program. This is the end of the lesson for downloading

STEP TWENTY-THREE: FileZilla setting can be accessed through the Edit command on the tool bar

STEP TWENTY-FOUR: Inside you will find many settings you can change, but be careful, setting a different value to setting MAY make the program crash if you don't understand what you are setting. Unsure ask me ill be more than happy to help

STEP TWENTY-FIVE: File Transfer settings is the area you will probably go to most. Here you can change settings on downloading and uploading. You MAY Click the Multiple connection transfer box and put in any number from 1 to 9, this will let you upload or download that number of files at one time. If you have further questions on anything here, such as resume or rename ect, just ask me....I always RESUME a file, that way it starts back up at the left off point and I don't waste credits by redownloading something I already have. AGAIN, if you need help explaining the features I will be more than happy to answer your questions. LESSON OVER...be careful out there!

Also in the setting is the PASSV MODE settings make sure it is not checked
